Knowing future of any technology which we are going to learn is curiosity of everybody because We all want to future to be bright. Today we are going to discuss what is SAS future and will it be good for you to choose SAS as career option.

SAS is used in analytics industry and it is just a analytic tool/software therefore we can say that we should reframe our question - What is future of SAS?

We should ask what how can we make our future secure or what is our future if we learn SAS? We can find the answer to our question by discussing few points below.

There are three point of views.

1. SAS is market leader software and it not going anywhere at least next 10 years.
2. Nobody knows what will happen in future. Nobody could have thought of COVID19 and staying whole world at home. Same way not only SAS but any language can also die in future in case any another good & easy to use language comes in future.
3. Nature demand change always therefore we should be ready for change as well. I means we should keep updating our-self by learning multiple technologies with time then we will not be scared with future of SAS, R or Python or more.

In current scenarios, organizations are looking for combination of technologies like SAS + Python or SAS + R because nobody know what client will ask to work on. Therefore if you are multi talented then you can work on SAS, R or Python as per client requirement. 

We should take care of our future, not SAS. How we can make our future secure? Only by learning multiple options. for example we always keep backup for emergencies in our home. Same way we need to keep alternative/backup for our career by learning more technologies. You can confirm same in any job portal. Search for Data Science or Data Analyst job and then see job description. You will get clear picture about what organizations are asking for.

Some people may say that R and Python is free therefore SAS is going to die. Some may say R is going to die and so on. Do not listen hoaxes. Be focused and think logically to take any decision.

Always take decision by thinking from organizations point of views because if you think organization point of view then you will learn what they are asking for and you will learn same thing and your future will be safe and brighter and brighter :)
